Check out this essay by a friend of mine on one of the most sensual movies ever made
Black Lives Matter. I said what I said.
I've been feeling really unwell the last few days so I've been on a movie binge while I try and hydrate enough to sweat out this fever. 1.) Ready Or Not 2.) The Perfection 3.) Uncut Gems... 4.) Good Boys 5.) The Dead Don't Die 6.) A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood See more
Congrats to one of my all-time favorite filmmakers the one, the only, Bong Joon-ho on winning a historical (tied with Mr. Walt Disney) FOUR Oscars in one night! PARASITE is a masterpiece, and, it coincides with passing 100 likes on this page, so thank you to all y'all lovelies! Upcoming, I've a few left to watch and them I'm forcing myself to release my favorites of 2019 list. So stay tuned, and while you're at it, go see BIRDS OF PREY and prove wrong this outdated idea that box office opening weekend numbers are the only thing that matter.
Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn is so much fun! A tour de force from Margot Robbie and the entire cast of girl power with Ewan McGregor and Chris Messina finally playing villains in a comic book movie who truly are repugnant in the way they mistreat women, instead of it being still somehow glorified and male-centric. And yet the movie never feels heavy-handed, the direction is graceful and Matthew Libatique's kaleidoscopic cinematography fully immerses you in beautiful colour and whimsical camera whooshes. It's as good a movie as I could want. But it's fun, it's just so much fun, even as it follows the story of Harley Quinn learning that vulnerability and badassness are not mutually exclusive. Go see it! Support your femme badass motherflockers
Holla y'all. I have been going through some major life changes, moved 2000km away from home and am trying to get financially stable enough to get this back up and running more often, so I apologize for the lack of content. I'm trying to catch up on all the movies I missed out on while living in a small town where most of the big 2019 movies I didn't get a chance to see. But also, a little tease, I'm going to be working on expanding this lil business into something really exciting. Putting together a team actually, oooohshala. Keep it real folks. Love.
