Anxiety on any level does not change what will happen, good or bad. How we deal with it, process it and choose to view and react is the only thing we control. You are not alone, I often deal with bouts of anxiety. I have stretches of good days and then bad ones. Often they come out of nowhere and I get in my head and envision all of the worst outcomes or things that can go wrong, even though logically I know it's not helpful or even likely that they will occur. VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) are toxic chemicals that easily become vapors or gases and fill the air causing short and long term adverse health effects. They are commonly found in burning fuels such as gasoline, wood, coal or natural gas, cigarette smoke, perfumes, paints and in the household cleaners and products that fill the store shelves and in turn fill our air at home. Why are VOC’s harmful to health? . VOC's by themselves can cause cancer, asthma, are endocrine... disruptors, damage to the lungs, liver, kidneys and nervous system, eye, nose and throat irritation and nausea. Frequent headaches, allergic skin reactions, fatigue and dizziness are quite common. Voc’s can also react with other gasses in the air forming additional air pollutants. Children exposed to VOC’s suffer respiratory, allergic and immune effects and pregnant women have an increased sensitivity to VOC’s. Lower birth weights, lower IQ’s are associated to exposure to VOC’s. **Household cleaning products can often be as tough on human health as they are on the grime and dirt we aim to clean.** The most notorious VOC’s and worst toxic offenders are; Formaldehyde, Benzene, Butanol, Phthalates and Triclosan. Quick, Simple, Delicious #healthy Banana Date Muffins! Recipe... Ingredients... -1 1/2 Cup wholewheat flour (or 1 cup wholewheat and 1/2 cup white/spelt/buckwheat or other favorite just NOT coconut flour) - 1 3/4 tsp baking powder - 1/2 tsp baking soda - 1/2 tsp cloves - 1/2 tsp cinnamon or all spice - 1/2 tsp nutmeg - 2 eggs - 1/2 cup canola/olive oil/coconut oil - 1/3 cup brown sugar/cane sugar/date sugar or alternative - 3 overripe frozen mashed bananas - 1/2 cup chopped dates - 1/4 cup chopped walnuts OPTIONAL Directions - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and grease or line 8-9 muffin tins - Beat together eggs, oil and sugar until foamy - Add spices, mashed banana, dates, walnuts and stir - Add flours, baking powder and baking soda ant stir just until combined, do not over mix. - Scoop into muffin tins and bake 15-18 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. . . . . . #nutritionistapproved #nutritionist #holisticnutrition #holistichealth #healthyrecipe #healthymiuffins #dietfreeliving #quickandsimplecooking #niagara #local #slowfood #yourstrulynutrition #easybaking #healthylifestyle #healthylife #livinggood #breakfastbandit #easynutrition #muffins #bananarecipe #simplehealth
