Maj.-Gen. Dany Fortin says that Canada received a total of 424,050 doses of #COVID19 vaccines in December. Confirms that Canada is on track to receive over 1.2 million doses of both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines by the end of January. -124,800 of Pfizer-BioNTech this week, and 208,000 per week for the rest of the month.... -171,000 of Moderna scheduled the week of January 11th. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says those who have chosen to travel for non-essential reasons will not be eligible for the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit while they do their mandatory quarantine. "My message to those who have vacationed, you will not receive this benefit." said PM Trudeau. We didn’t bring this in or imagine when we passed it unanimously, that people would use it to pay for their quarantines after they went south for their vacations. "As of later this week, we will be demanding that anyone returning to Canada provide a negative #COVID19 test before take off."
