The Wellness Witch 21.02.2021

September 1st is my New Years Day. Growing up, September was always a time of a renewed sense of purpose and reflection on what I would make of the year ahead. It was much more a time of rebirth than January 1st ever was for me.... I’m taking the opportunity this year to review my daily routine and ensure it aligns with the vision I have for myself and the life I desire. The daily tasks and choices I make either feed into old habits or pave the way for a healthy, nourished and full life. This September I will review and adjust my daily routine to include writing, time in nature and exercise. All things that I love but haven’t been making a daily priority as of late. I encourage everyone to take a look at their daily routine and make sure it is filled with things you love!

Beautiful Health with B Vitamins My favourite group of Vitamins! The B’s!!! They are my favourite because I notice SUCH a difference in my over all well being when my levels are optimal! The B’s are lovely little vitamins that also like company. That’s why they are grouped together, because in Nature you will never find a B vitamin in isolation. They often work together to perform best.... B Vitamins function as coenzymes and act as catalysts for many biochemical functions. Each B vitamin has its own unique function but all are necessary for the normal functioning of the nervous system. The B vitamins are helpful in both energy levels and stress levels. They are also important for healthy skin and hair. The best part about the B vitamins? There are little to no toxicities as they are water soluble and not stored in the body. They are needed daily and you can easily supplement with a good B complex vitamin. The richest natural source containing the most B vitamins is Nutritional Yeast. Which is both vegan and gluten-free! Yay! So go ahead and sprinkle it generously and let those B vitamins work their magic!

How much goodness can you fit in one glass? A LOT!!! Today’s smoothie is jam packed with plant power! Most of the greens are from my very own backyard! I love green smoothies for many reasons, but I especially love how easy it is to incorporate so many nutritious plants in their raw form.... Green smoothies are my favourite!! They are delicious and oh so full of goodness that my body loves!
