We are saddened to announce that Wellth will be closing its doors permanently on Thursday, April 30th, 2020. As a small and independent business, we, along with so many others were unfortunately impacted by COVID-19. We look back on our 2.5 year journey with immense gratitude for the support of every loyal patient and customer who walked through our doors. It has been our honour to serve you and be a part of Toronto’s incredible wellness community. To our d...edicated practitioners, pharmacy team, and clinic staff thank you for your service and for making a difference. *If you are a clinic patient, you have received an email with the applicable practitioner information. All prescriptions will be transferred to HealthShield Pharmacy (phone: (416)400-3525). If you prefer your prescriptions to go elsewhere, please contact your preferred new pharmacy and have them call us before 4 PM today (April 30th), or subsequently HealthShield Pharmacy, for a prescription transfer.* Stay safe and well, Toronto. Earth Day reminds us that as the planet continues to turn, it needs our love and attention just as much as we need it to live. Let's extend Earth Day beyond one day of the year, and stay conscious of how the actions and efforts of our daily lives affect our planet. As a collective community, our small efforts can make a BIG impact. There's many ways you can make an impact but here are 6 tips we can all start trying, to improve our health and and the health of our earth.

The environment is where we all meet; where we all have a mutual interest; it is the one thing all of us share. We are so glad to be part of that change! Did you know that we carry products that are sustainable and eco-friendly? Here are some of our favourites: Abeego beeswax food wraps (they're a replacement for plastic wrap and foil that would normally be used to cover and store foods). They're available in a multi-pack with 3 different sizes... to cover a single fruit/vegetable or an entire plate. We love them because you can easily wash them and re-use. The Last Straw stainless steel straws (they're a replacement for plastic straws). They're available in a pack of 6 with a cleaning brush, so you can have fun drinking from a straw all the time! Mrs. Meyers Clean Day hand soaps, all-purpose cleaning spray, and dish soap (they're a replacement for conventional cleaning products). They're crafted with blends of essential oils so they smell AMAZING, biodegradable, contain more recyclable packaging, and are cruelty-free. In this current decade, there are lots of earth-conscious products available, like mesh produce bags, reusable menstrual cups, deodorant, and toothbrushes. If you'd like to purchase any of these products, please call us at (416)504-9355. As an essential service, we're open and can provide curbside pickup or delivery. Leave a comment below and tell us what's one household or personal care product that you're thinking about switching, to help be part that change? See more

Our patients often ask us why stress affects their digestive system? When we're feeling stressed or overwhelmed, our bodies activate our sympathetic nervous system, which is our "fight or flight" mode. Fight or flight mode usually happens when we perceive a threat and our body releases hormones that's necessary for our survival. It includes reducing blood flow to certain organs (like the digestive system) and pumping more blood to the heart and lungs. Thi...s is what would happen if we needed to run away from lions, tigers, and bears, and although that probably isn't happening to us right now, in modern day, we still experience these types of stressors (jobs, finances, family, health). Here's the problem. If we're always stressed, our 'fight or flight' mode stays activated overtime, which will affect our digestion (can cause nausea, heartburn, fatigue, bloating, constipation, IBS). If you're constantly stressed and anxious, and your digestive system isn't running as smoothly as it should be, book an appointment to address your needs and get treatment from one of our Naturopathic Doctors! Click on the link in our bio to book online. Book a free 15-minute consultation. All appointments are virtual, through video call on a secure platform (no downloads required). See more

Are you struggling with acne and breakouts after coming off of the birth control pill or are you planning to stop the pill and feel worried about potential acne? - Our facial skin is no joke! It can hold much of our self-confidence and every time we have a pimple (especially those caused by acne) or a blemish, we might feel self-conscious and wonder if the whole world is staring at our breakout. - Birth control pills can deplete a lot of vitamins and minerals in the body need...ed for maintaining healthy skin. It suppresses sebum (oil) production and when we come off of the pill, our skin tries to regulate itself but overproduces sebum, which can clog pores and cause breakouts. - Dr. Katie loves talking skincare and has successfully helped many patients with this challenge. In addition to providing cosmetic acupuncture and gua sha treatments that many of you love, she also offers lots of free insight, tips, and resources on her page to help you find your way to naturally healthy and glowing skin. - @dr.katieblack.nd See more
