Over the past week since our last posts we've been reflecting on everything that has been going on in the world from our communities to our industry. We haven't been posting much since then to not drown out social media feeds that have vital communication for protests and important information for people to educate themselves and be informed about what has been going on for too long. We want you to know that we are still educating ourselves and not stopping our work on this a...fter just one week. Learning takes time and patience to build understanding of what this all means and how to adjust to the way things should have always been. We are looking at our internal processes at Yowza to see if there are ways we can make changes for the better and make ourselves consistently aware of, and not contributors to, systematic racism. As we mentioned last time, we are grateful that our clients have the same views and mindset and believe that if we all do our parts this world can become a better place to live, work and to enjoy. We will continue being open about our policies and changes that will come. We want to continue wishing you a Happy Pride, stay safe and informed. Your friends at Yowza Animation.

Yowza Animation got a shout out in this Collider.com review, for our work on Looney Tunes streaming on HBO Max May 27th! "Speaking of animation, Yowza Animation Corp. and Tonic DNA do a fantastic job of recreating the classic feel of Looney Tunes, whether it’s in the segments themselves or the interstitials between them. The hand-drawn characters still pop against static matte-painting backgrounds (with the occasional interactable object poking out, which makes for fun gags ...along the way) and the animation is smooth. Every once in a while, a frame will linger on a highly detailed still for comedic effect, similar to visual gags made famous by Ren & Stimpy and SpongeBob SquarePants. But Looney Tunes has long been an incredibly imaginative world in which our heroes (usually Bugs Bunny, but sometimes Daffy Duck and Tweety) have access to Hammerspace, a working knowledge of the cartoonish environment around them, and an ability to break the fourth wall.
