Yaletown Pet Hospital 24.10.2020

It's a puppy parade!!!! This proud but very exhausted mamma, Daisy a Great Pyrenees cross, visited with her TEN adorable fluffy 6 week old puppies!! Everyone got an exam and their first set of puppy vaccines with Dr Schnarr, and sooooo much love from everyone! All are in good health and getting ready for their new furever homes. They are still in the sleepy stage of their youth, so after the puppy parade they were very exhausted from the excitement and ...decided to have nap time... and boy did they nap!!!! Mama Daisy is such a wonderful and caring mother! All she wanted was a nice massage (aka belly rubs). Who could blame her after caring for this fluffy brood!! Good girl Daisy!!! Did your furry mamma have pups and they need their first visits? Visit our website link in our IG bio or click here in FB https://www.yaletownpethospital.com/book-an-appointment.

Meet the Fam Mondays! #meetthefammondays Rob, our aquarius veterinarian patriarch and one of the best people EVER, has been practicing in the Lower Mainland since 1989 after graduating from Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He founded Yaletown Pet Hospital in 2003 and we are SOOOOO glad you did Rob!!! When this Saskatoon raised gent is not working hard as one of our wonderful veterinarians he is a member of CAAT (Canadian Animal Assistance T...eam) and has volunteered in many projects throughout BC, Yukon, Nunavut, and many trips abroad to Botswana over the past 7 years. He finds volunteer work challenging and very rewarding. In his spare time he enjoys snuggles with his doggo Dora, Bull Terrier, or throwing veggie scraps for her while prepping food. When he's not with Dora he enjoys some time either reading Love in the Time of Cholera, listening to David Byrne, watching The National or a Horror movie, or simply enjoying some Indian food with a tall glass of beer. When not relaxing this very active guy loves capturing photographs of the many splendours of Earth in his travels or by keeping fit either running or cross fit. We simply couldn't imagine YPH without this wonderful man!!! #yphfam #yphfamily

Brave Gord, 4 year old Border Collie, was here to see Dr Seagrist for his rabies vaccine!!! He was such a good boy and very sweet!!! Rabies vaccines are given around 4 months of age, boosted in 1 year, then given every 3 years! We can also do blood testing to ensure they are adequately protected for rabies. Chat with your vet about the best option for your fluffy friend! Did you know that just this month a dog had a backyard encounter with a bat in Tsawwass...en, which tested positive for rabies?! So very important to make sure your pet is up-to-date!!! #rabiesawareness #petrabiesvaccine Take a look at our resource pages on rabies here for dogs https://www.yaletownpethospital.com/client-res//articles/ and here for cats https://www.yaletownpethospital.com/client-res//articles/!

Meet the Fam Mondays! #meetthefammondays Meet Deb or as she's affectionately known in hospital, Mama D! This dedicated lady has been a veterinarian at YPH for over 16 years and we are a very lucky bunch to work with her! Deb, a Vancouver born taurus, knew she wanted to be a veterinarian ever since she was a wee little girl! She pursued her dreams attending school in Vancouver, California and Saskatoon. We are so happy she followed that dream!!! ... Her favourite thing to do at YPH is getting an entire day of appointments with clients that she has built lasting relationships with for these past years!!! In her spare time this wonderful lady enjoys trying to get her 9 year old Chihweenie, Hannah, to play but she tends to act more like a cat. This avid book reader also likes spending time relaxing with a Louise Penny book or listening to some Kacey Musgraves while cuddling her kitty Penny, 16 year old Domestic/Russian Blue cross, who acts more like a dog. When not relaxing this active lady enjoys cooking, playing tennis, skiing, yoga, hiking, travelling, and spending time with family and friends around Italian or Indian food. Deb says, "YPH is home to me. I have been here for 16 plus years and even though it has grown and changed immensely, I still call it home". You sure do make YPH feel like home Mamma D!!! #yphfam #yphfamily

This sweet little guy Mochi, 17 week old Shih-Tzu, is one of the most friendly little pups we’ve ever met!!! He just couldn’t wait to meet the entire YPH family! Loved his cheese plate too, which made for a great distraction during his vaccines and mani/pedi!! Wiggliest little pup of the day, which made it hard to capture his adorable cheese beard!! He just wanted to look around and see if there were more people to meet!!! How cute!! Does your wiggly pup need an appointment? Book here https://www.yaletownpethospital.com/book-an-appointment
