Brief storm update this morning: We still have compact snow throughout Hwys 16/27. When the temperature rises today we will use salt to work on removing it. We expect the highways to be noticeably better this afternoon and tomorrow than they are right now. #ShiftIntoWinter

We haven’t yet seen a snowfall warning issued (UPDATE: a snowfall warning of 15cm has come out) but it appears to us that the #vanderhoof #fraserlake #fortstjames area is due for a lot of precipitation (starting with rain but mostly snow) from this evening all the way until Friday night. We urge everybody to plan ahead for tomorrow morning. Get your car nice and warm before you hop in! Clear the snow off the top...but most importantly, please allow yourselves extra time to travel and to drive in winter conditions tomorrow. #shiftintowinter #essentialservices4u
