Checking out our second herd today. The #bison seemed healthy and happy. Some of the ladies even posed with styles!

Our new teenager, on his 13th birthday, took a portion of his hard-earned savings and became the partial owner of his first bison! He spent an afternoon in the field using his bison judging skills and chose a fine 2017 cow. She comes from great bloodlines, Irish Creek Bison dam and Silver Creek Bison sire. He is going to save more to one day fully own her, but in the meantime will share in the profits of all her calves. Tough decision to part with his money this way, but he sees how much money she will make him in the future! Appreciated family pricing to make this happen.

These young bison girls were happy today to show off the new earrings they received last week, and are sending out their wishes for a good 2021!

What a peaceful morning loading these calm 2018 bison bulls. They loaded so smoothly. We will miss looking out the window at these beautiful boys.

The snow has made it easy for us to see the fox in our fields, doesn't seem at all bothered by the bison, but did run when one bison cow decided to chase after it! Two days later we moved the herd to the second growth of a hay field, which they are enjoying. The calves are now very curious and interested in the truck, until their mom's call them away!

Time of year to bring home our hay from another property for the bison here. Youngest loves to go along and help dad, but it does wear him out!

On hot summer days, bison roll in "wallow pits" to shed fur and to rid themselves of flies. Ours have several wallow pits, and one even with mud! Here are few pictures of them using them.
