Another weekly batch of delicious meals made! Special thanks this week to Yukon Born And Raised for this magnificent local boar and the Boys and Girls Club of Yukon for donating their wonderful, sparkly clean kitchen for us to use! A little dry rub, and a nice hot grill treatment was all it needed. Juicy, flavorful, and most importantly born and raised right here in the Yukon.

Just a couple of photo updates, as we roll well into the summer. Meals are still getting pumped out every week for Food Bank Society of Whitehorse, with fresh wonderful local vegetables and produce. And of course always with smiles on our faces. Thanks to Luke Legault from The Wandering Bison for his continued enthusiasm and dedication, and for raiding his greenhouse, allowing us to sample some of his amazing green thumb work in last weeks meals.

Thanks so much to Sydney Mackinnon, for her unbelievably generous donation of fresh foraged Yukon morels. And to Yukon Gardens for their donation of fresh locally grown basil. All cooked up together this week for our meal drop at the Food Bank Society of Whitehorse! Often times because of the proximity, distance and logistics of getting to where fresh morels are picked, a lot of locals don’t have access to ingredients like this. As a chefs, it is such a pleasure to be able to use what is considered a highly prized and luxurious item to help feed the people from the lands on which they live on. #chef #feedthenorth
