YUL is a driving force of our city's activity and it is by combining our strengths that we will find solutions for the recovery. Last Monday this discussion took place, which you can watch here.
Did you know that snowy owls love to visit us at YUL? In fact, when winter comes, these birds of prey migrate south and are often found near our runways. In order to ensure air safety, the Services Environnementaux Faucon team works to capture them. The first owl of the season was observed and captured last November 5 and was released about 100 km away. For a second year, the organization will participate in the SnowStorm project. This project aims to equip certain snowy ow...ls with a GPS transmitter in order to track their movements, study the populations, and at the same time ensure air safety by anticipating their arrival on our site. The name chosen for last winter's owls was Montreal, YUL and Dorval. What will the two new kids be called? Watch this video to learn more about the capture: https://youtu.be/lz3BHQ11rR8 #falconenv

On this Remembrance Day, CBSA and ADM employees made a special dedication to commemorate those who have given the best of themselves for Canada and their fellow citizens. We particularly remember Sergeant Herman Williams who served for 15 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and who passed away a few weeks ago. To pay tribute to him, we held two minutes of silence with his family who were visiting YUL on their way to his hometown in Newfoundland.... Our hearts go out to you.

" Montreal's airport is particularly affected by the dramatic drop in international traffic. Air transport is a major industry for the Greater Montreal area. It is imperative that Ottawa provide financial assistance to Canadian air carriers and airports and adopt regulatory measures to remedy the situation. This open letter published in Le Devoir and signed by Michel Leblanc of Chambre de commerce du Montréal métropolitain and Karl Blackburn of the Conseil du patronat du Québec demonstrates that the implementation of innovative and targeted measures to save our industry and the thousands of jobs associated with it is essential to sustain the economic recovery.
