Hi Friends, Tessa again :) I spend a lot of time encouraging young people to overcome the things that are holding them back. In many cases, this is all mental strength - the capacity to overcome the negative self-talk in your head. I can empathize with this because it is something that I tackle personally. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. ...Continue reading

(Continued from previous post) LIFE AS A VESSEL: A friend posted this from her church service and I wanted to share this with you going into your weekend! If you’re like me and have looked deeper into your life this week we could all use the encouragement and the hope to steer ahead...... Life as a Vessel: from VICTIM MENTALITY, to a VICTOR MINDSET and finally onto a VESSEL MINDSET (What is happening through me.) Jesus will meet you as a victim but He never wants you to stay as a victim. Let us not stay in the victim mindset, it brings about self-pity. ("Self pity is a crippling emotional disease that distorts our perception of reality.-Eugene Peterson.) A victim mentality exaggerates pain, because it wants sympathy more than healing. - Pastor James Reyes. Just like in the story from John 5:5. Located in Bethesda, where Jesus walked up to a man who has been afflicted with an infirmity for 38 years. Jesus knew this man didn’t get sick a week ago. Someone who has a disease for a long time can end up wrapping their identity around their disease. Jesus doesn’t ask for the man’s story; he confronts the victim mindset from the beginning. Do you want to be made well? (Do you really want to be healed?) Victimization doesn’t answer that, because it would draw a line in the sand of what would be required from this day forward. What Jesus heard was the list of reasons why he hasn’t been able to get into the pool. his story!! (Think of all the things you would do to get that healing if you really wanted to) All of us if not careful, can carry a story within us that is not the story God has given. Our story we carry can be littered with chapters of unhealed pain, distorted perspectives and limited thinking. We can easily carry that story into different situations projecting it into future encounters! Do I really want to be healed? If yes, are we willing? A lot of times people want the healing, but don’t want to embrace what a healed life looks like. That is what a victim promotes: rescuing with very little personal participation. Christ is bringing to us the story of healing and wholeness. - Mark de Jesus If you find yourself in any stage, I would like to cheer you on, don't give up, push on life as a victor over your circumstances, into the life that Christ is leading us into. That is the life of a vessel. To be a vessel is to help other people. Not vessels of division, hatred or destruction, instead as vessels of love and hope to our own lives and to others. Seek out your time with God, and or talk to your local pastor or that special friend that you connect with. Bless someone today and have a very great and safe weekend!! Blessings Jeanne

Children can put this world into perspective for many adults! One such thing happened recently, where my son taught me an important life lesson!!! So, the past week has been low key for my child who is super hyper and on the go! He had a minor surgery, that kept him on bed rest! On the first day as the anesthetic wore off, he was in so much pain. Hard to see for a mom but what really uplifted my heart was that in the midst of all his pain, he was dancing and making us all la...Continue reading

What God is saying to me in my devotions ~Simeli~ Trust God from the bottom of my heart; don’t try to figure out everything on my own. Listen for God s voice in everything I do, everywhere I go; He is the one who will keep me on track. Don’t assume that I know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! (Proverbs 3:3-6 Msg)

FAITH, GRACE AND LOVE OF GOD TESTIMONY Are we aligned with God’s heart? What have we asked of Him? Do our requests match His will for us? This week I made some ...requests to God and I had an incredible response which made me rethink my whole relationship with God and the way I have approached Him! You can’t miss this! I don’t know myself I was in my moment of prayer, telling God my wishes and what I would like! I talked about ministry life, my professional life, my relationships and various things and said that I would like certain things to happen. The next day, the Lord embarrassed me in an absurd way, saying, Why do you keep asking for different things if you don’t even know what you really need? It shocked me. I know that the thing I need most is to have the Lord by my side, but instead of asking Him what do I need? and asking Him to guide my heart to what really builds me up, I just asked for what I wanted! Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Job 38: 4 This question that the Lord asked me, reminded me of when Job contests God’s plan! Put your name in this verse: Where were you, John / Emma / James, when I laid the foundation for the land? Where were we when God created the heavens and the earth and imposed a limit on nature? Who are we to contest God’s plans? The Lord knows you The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Psalm 23: 1

I think one of the biggest things God is saying to me is that its okay to take care of yourself. I am a person that loves to help others and I often have a hard... time saying no to things and people. I found that after many years of this I started to get very tired, and then I realized that I was spreading myself way too thin. Things started to slip, my health went into a decline because I wasn’t taking good care of my body, some of my relationships were starting to fall apart because I ended up having no energy to pour into making it work, I didn’t help those around me in the best way I could because I was just way too tired. Most importantly God went on the back burner and the only time I would talk to Him was when I needed something from Him. This all in all is not a great way to live and isn’t what God wants my life to be like. God wants us to take good care of ourselves, to take good care of our body and find times of rest in Him. So many times we fill our lives with all these things, we rush from one thing to another but I truly believe God wants us to slow down and take in the small moments in life. For myself personally, God used COVID to force me to slow down and draw me back to Him and to what is really important in life. Thanks for reading! ~Samantha Passage~

COVID season- written by Samantha Passage Journal entry, April 15, 2020. We are currently living in a pandemic. It's so crazy to think that this is our life right now. I miss my regular life, it took this time to appreciate all the things I had in my life, things I took for granted, that now are no longer there. I want things to go back to the way they were, but I can't go back. I can only look forward and try my best to see the good among this mess we are living in. To use t...his time to slow down and appreciate the moments that go by way too fast in our regular life. I am thankful for this time/season in our lives, as much as there are really tough days that you just want to cry. I have to remember that there are always people who have it way worse than I do. I have a roof over my head, food in the fridge and amazing people in my life that check in on me. What are you thankful for in this season? Check in later today for Part two of what God is saying to me in this season of life.

Aloha everyone! I wanted to share about a God moment I had while working in the garden a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful day and I remember I found myself sta...nding outside of the garden for a brief moment, watching everyone working so well together in the garden, when a question popped into my head, isn’t this how it’s supposed to be? What got to me was seeing our group working so harmoniously together it was a beautiful day, no one was complaining, everyone had a joyous attitude as they worked and helped contribute to the health and well being of the garden, they were helping each other out, and even though we have someone who delegates tasks to us, everyone was on the same level; there was no I’m above you, now all of you do as I say. *cracks the whip*. It was a moment that felt like Heaven on Earth. It filled me with so much joy and made my heart and soul smile and reminded me of the Garden of Eden in the bible. He made all kinds of beautiful trees grow there and produce good fruit. Genesis 2:9. It also reminded me of how blessed I am to be part of such an incredible group of Jesus-loving people; no one better than the other, all working together on something bigger than ourselves to honor God and bless those around us. In that moment, I felt like God was telling me that that is how He always intended for us to live with each other: in harmony and unity. Thanks for reading! ~Kristi Hill~ See more

Rain is rain. It doesnt rain just on the good or main crops but on anything and everything. In the same way - I believe God's blessings or provision does not discrminate or is reserved only for a select few. He pours it out on everybody and anybody and all his children can benefit to grow from it. As much as weeds can bring some benefit if not dealt with, it would eventually take over in the garden. We all equally receive as much opportunities to make the good and bad decisions in life. If we are not careful to address, correct and learn from the wrong choices then the consequences can take over and rule our life. It is the rule of sowing and reaping regardless of beliefs if you have any or none, we know that our actions produces a result. Thoughts by Isi

On Monday - we started a conversation about rain ... and weeds. We asked if there were any benefit from weeds. According to google and specifically dianfarmerdotcom 'weeds can help fertilize the soil, increase moisture, repel pests and can attract bugs and insects that the main crops would take advantage. Our good friend Jeff also highlighted this in his post. We learn about how challenges can enrich our lives. All the way from Australia our friend Bernice was reminded that removing weeds required you to be on your knees and in many ways an analogy of seeking God to remove things in your life! Thank you so much to both Jeff and Bern for these amazing life lessons. Thank you for sharing.

Aloha. The next couple of weeks our staff members will be sharing God moments, stories and life lessons. This week specifically are lessons from our beautiful ...garden and will be in a 3 part. Feel free to comment and share your thoughts and own personal experience. Lesson from the Garden by Isi Rain is a blessing to the land - helping yield good crops. At the same time - the weeds have benefited - growing as much and at times bigger than the main crops. Why? Does the weed in the garden bring any benefit to the main crops? Does it offer any nutrients to the land/soil? These are some questions that have led to conversations with God and my own deep thoughts and wondering. What do you think? See more
