A HUGE thank you goes out to The Ensuite, Bridge City Chrysler Dodge Jeep Fiat, and Mastermind toys Lethbridge ab for their collaboration in making Christmas for the YWCA children so bright and exciting. With your help we will be able to serve 1000+ children now and throughout the year. Often children come into our shelter with only their clothes, so to give them something that they can play with, love, and take with them, puts a sparkle back into their eyes. While 2020 has been a challenging year in many ways and health restrictions have made connecting difficult there are rays of sunshine through the gloom that remind us of the resilience of the human heart and soul and the propensity for good in the world. One such ray of sunshine is Tessa Fath who through her, "Act of Kindness Project" has successfully brought these bins of food and treats together which will be distributed to families in need. At the YWCA we believe it is act...ions like this that make the world a little nicer and we take our hats off to this young citizen looking past individual wants and needs to the betterment of others. Thanks, Tessa, for taking initiative to help the community and setting an example for the rest of us to follow. Warm wishes this holiday season!

The 45th Annual Women of Distinction Awards will be held on March 5, 2021. 16 Days of Activism: Day 10 We want to share a YWCA project, called "Life is Art", that was created by YWCA Lethbridge & District Participants. The presentation highlights Gender-based Violence and includes 40+ art pieces that have been separated into four themes: ... Abuse, Healing, Encouragement, and Hope. This project was funded by the Government of Alberta.
