Hello everyone, As we adapt to everchanging pandemic guidelines and restrictions we are working hard to continue to meet community health and fitness needs. We are happy to say that our gym is still open for individual workouts and many of our classes are available to livestream and join us from wherever you happen to be. For those wishing to join a livestream, here is a quick walk through that process as it currently stands. As this pandemic presses on there has been more recognition of the implications the measures taken have had on mental health. All of the stress, uncertainty, employment challenges and, of course, isolation lead many to report their mental health is suffering. While not a cure all, exercise is an extremely helpful countermeasure that we can all take. Exercise has been shown to improve mental health by reducing depression, anxiety, and bad moods while also improving self esteem and cognitive function. Even taking a short daily walk is enough to start seeing some benefits.
Just wanted to take a moment to share gratitude for those who have and do serve to protect our freedoms. There will be no noon hour class on Remembrance Day, but there will be a 5:00 pm class. May you all have a great day of reflection.
