"My parents Stuart & Colleen Allan started at this same location in the fall of 1980 with a small 60-seat Wine Bar, and were successful enough to take over the old Calgary Press Club space next door five years later (when I was one year old!). They called the new bar "Bottlescrew Bill's Old Ale and Port House" and it too has made it's mark." "We are thankful to be able to acknowledge the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the founding of Bottlescrew Bill's Pub, along with the 40th anniversary of the founding of the company, with some examples of the food and drink items from our archived menus. For example, Quiche Lorraine (yes, it was a popular dish in 1982) will be on the menu, along with Teriyaki Chicken and Mama's Lasagna, all for only $5.95, and Cheesecake for only $2.95. Big shout out to Manager Samantha and the B&G mission team for providing an amazing experience at their new location on 4st. All the staff were friendly, accommodating to our group. The staff were continuosly cleaning every section. I like there are 3 different sections for more private tables and pictures of Halifax Grafton. The team definitely tries to get a east coast experience. The menu has a diverse selection from pizza, poutines and seafood. Here are afew items I ve t...ried but definitely will be going back to try more. 1. Got to try the OG Caesar it's like an appetizer. Donair skewer with pepperoni. But I really liked the seasoning used. $11 2. Halifax donair poutine.$17 3. OG Halifax Donair, first timer for me. For $13 you get a generous amount of donair. Donair sauce is not overly sweet and pita was soft. 4. Screech, ya never had it..taste likes it sounds.
