Songwriting! "In my observation this has been an extremely fertile time of creativity! Zoom and Skype meetings have been a way to connect with people and write for years however now more than ever this technology is being harnessed. This time has been a struggle for many, and also a time of deep self discovery and reflection. This sets the stage for some amazing works of art to appear. " - Mike Little Has this time become a time of creativity for you?

Happy Friday! Here is some music for you to enjoy this weekend CMA member and Calgary singer-song writer Sandra Sutter is about to release her second 12-song album and we’re giving you a sneak preview of the first four songs! Aurora 12 is a mix of new songs, written and performed by Sandra, along with a few traditional Christmas songs presented in a way that only the award-winning singer-song writer can deliver.... These songs were created in collaboration with Juno Award winning producer Chris Burke-Gaffney with creative support from Indigenous Music Hall of Famer Vince Fontaine (Eagle & Hawk/Indian City) and musical contributions from Rob Ing of Airdrie, AB. We are six months into this global pandemic that has completely changed how we do business. This week, we're sharing our President's (Mike Little) observations of the new ways we have been "learning to fish". Many musicians have been utilizing Zoom and Skype as a platform to teach. I have talked to many members who, with a very minimal investment of a basic webcam and a microphone have been able to continue business with their current students, gain new students and significantly expand their reach globally to new clients and opportunities. I am going to go out on a limb and say that I think this expansion of business might stick. In many ways, this is a more convenient platform for both the teacher and the student.
