TAKE A SELF CARE RETREAT . With the long weekend coming up, and still nowhere to go this can be a wonderful way to show yourself some extra love this Valentine's Day (or any day you need a real pick me up!) . I found this gem of an idea from @theresetritual and have enjoyed doing it myself!!... . Here are the essentials: . 1. if able, jot down everything rumbling around in your head 2. 3. (whatever supports your intention for the day) 4. (wine, tea, coffee) - whatever supports your vibe! 5. : take one to two hours, enjoy it. 6. : take a walk, a hike, dance in the kitchen, do some yoga, literally whatever feels good to you in that moment 7. & 8. : do something that makes you feel good, with your own two hands (no computers or phones) - painting, drawing, DIY crafts, you get the point! 9. & : run a hot bath, your favorite bath bomb or salt, bring a drink, a cozy robe and slippers and listen to some music while you soak 10. : the goal is to get in touch with yourself after a day of relaxing, answer some journal prompts to help guide you . SHOWER UPGRADE . Want to upgrade your shower this week and promote them from a necessary hygiene practice into a self care routine?? I find this is especially great for all the busy parents out there!! Here's how: 1. Start with dry brushing to improve circulation and exfoliate... 2. Create ambient lighting 3. Listen to music (whatever mood you're into at the time) 4. Use a scrub (for extra skin love or in place of a dry brush) 5. Use a face and/or hair mask 6. FLOAT THERAPY . I discovered this myself nearly three years ago and it was AMAZING. So amazing that I am returning for another sesh today.... .
