In my practice I am seeing lots of clients who are struggling to feel like they belong, and maintain connections in their community during the pandemic. If you think of someone today, reach out to them (reminisce about a time together), send them a text (a favorite photo of the two of you together), drop off a treat at their office/doorstep, mail them a card or letter... whether you are feeling isolated yourself, or worrying about someone who might be, a small gesture of connection can go a long way.

My colleague, Suzanne Williams, R.C.C., and I are excited to offer two low-cost series ($100 for 4 sessions) of psycho-educational workshops in the downtown core, running on Wednesdays, from mid-May to mid-June. Beginning on May 16th, from Noon - 2pm, we are offering a practical, child-focused, Co-Parenting After Separation or Divorce short-course. Also beginning on May 16th, from 5pm - 7pm, we are offering a psycho-educational Support Group for Family and Friends of Drug and... Alcohol Users, including training on harm reduction strategies.
