The salvia is still blooming but it's the seed heads on the Joe Pye Weed I like best.

Oops! Salix viminalis

The three little Willow trees in the foreground are salix viminalis. There are 40 planted along Pemberton Meadows Road. They will be pollarded this winter. The look in a few years should be a line of trees with Afro haircuts.
