ZED*80 is back from the dead!!! Open Tuesday to Friday at 6:00PM, Saturday and Sunday at 4:00PM. You can now bring minors into the space any day before 8:00PM (at a ratio of 1 parent or guardian to 2 minors) and it's still only $5 for all you can play arcade and pinball. During Stage 3 in addition to our house rules, we are asking guests to: - Limit group sizes to 4 or less... - You must remain seated while eating or drinking as per Stage 3 guidelines - Facial masks must be worn in the space at all times unless eating or drinking, again as per Stage 3 guidelines - Practice social distancing from those not in your circle We have taken some pretty big steps to help ensure the safety of our guests and our staff, while still offering great beer, good food and fun games. #sharethegames #arcade #pinball #toronto #zedisnotdeadbaby

This is why we only exclusively carry @ontcraftbrewers on our taps. They understand that community, people and relationships are more important than profit.... These are our (almost) next door neighbours DOUGH Bakeshop hanging out at Zed a while back. We proudly carried their vegan white buns, and I made up at least 10% of their monthly scone sales while building this place. In short - we freakin' love dough.... They are as of this posting still open, on limited hours from 8am - 5pm. Go for a walk. Get some baked goods. #BeNiceToEachOther I know it's tough, but we'll get through this together. Scones help.

Hard to imagine that a little over a week ago, we were celebrating our one year anniversary. How quickly things can change. After I finished clearing out and distributing our perishable food stocks, I hit up E.T. Seton park to play a round of solo disc golf.... It was a nice break from everything happening around the city these past few days, and for as long as we are able to go outside, and doing so in a socially responsible manner, you're not putting anyone at risk with a walk in the park, my disc throwing ability however is another matter so keep your head up if you see me honking a drive. I have this quote framed in my office at home. Feels right to share it today. Stay safe everyone, be there for each other, and we'll get through this. I've been buying cheese from Alex Farm Products on the Danforth for years. Unlike your local grocery store, they've got tons of everything, and most of it will still be delicious in a couple of weeks if stored properly. So rather than getting in a fistfight over toilet paper, take a stroll to the cheese shop and get prepped the civilized way.... Also, if you eat enough cheese you won't need toilet paper. This is a photo taken this evening of Zed, after we closed, cleaned and disinfected the place one last time. I feel emotionally very heavy. Today we have made the decision to close Zed*80 for the next two weeks.... This was not an easy decision, but it was the right, and as such, only decision to make. The safety of our staff and our patrons and our community matters the most, and we could not in good conscience play a role in the spread of the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic. Although this will be a dark time for all of us, it is also an opportunity for all of us to demonstrate the type of society and community that we can be. Now, more than ever we've got to learn that we need each other, and we have to be there for each other. We can, and we will get through this. As more information becomes available, and following the guidelines set for by public health officials, we will keep you up to date on our status, and we can't wait to have a healthy and joyous celebration with all of you when we are open again. - Nathan Hunter, Owner and Manager #BeNiceToEachOther
