These are the times. If you catch 100 red fire ants as well as 100 large black ants and put them in a jar, at first, nothing will happen. However, if you violen...tly shake the jar and dump them back on the ground the ants will fight until they eventually kill each other. The thing is, the red ants think the black ants are the enemy and vice versa, when in reality, the real enemy is the person who shook the jar. This is exactly what’s happening in society today. The real question we need to be asking ourselves is who’s shaking the jar and why?

The year that reality surpassed all fiction, known as the year 2020. By now it seems clear that we are all living through a major turning point in history, one... that will be studied for years to come. Future textbook authors will write entries on the year 2020, revise them, and revise them some more with each new edition. 2020 was heavily defined by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to global social and economic disruption, mass cancellations and postponements of events, worldwide lockdowns and the largest economic recession since the Great Depression of the 1930s. Geospatial World also called it "the worst year in terms of climate change" in part due to major climate disasters worldwide, including major bushfires in Australia and the western United States, as well as extreme tropical cyclone activity affecting large parts of North America. Protests caused by the killing of George Floyd break out across hundreds of cities in the U.S. and around the world. These are followed by further protests and rallies on June 6 against racism and police brutality around the world. A United Nations progress report published in December 2020 indicated that none of the international Sustainable Development Goals for 2020 were achieved. Globally, people already are describing it with words as: - Unprecedented - Complicated. - Hyperbole - Omnishambles (a situation, especially in politics, in which poor judgment results in disorder or chaos with potentially disastrous consequences) Whatever the shape of things to come, surely the answers would be global. Both the pandemic and the protests spanned the world at remarkable speed. Now deadly threats to humankind and the environment placed that world in warning where we all will get affected in some way or another. The question for you for all of us, the humans being, the engine of this society is this: from today on are we still going to have, reinforce and support the same unsustainable value and believe system that govern our life, our society until today? Or are we willing to go over those and make changes for others more sustainable, not materialistic, unifying, with social inclusion, holistic? Our time is up. They" won't do it for you, us. It is up to us to demand it, to make those changes if we want to survive as specie for the time to come and live in a better global society for everyone without exceptions. Death to #2020. How people reacted to cultural trends in a historically chaotic year. Death to 2020 is a cathartic comedy event you’ll never forget about the ye...ar you really, really don’t want to remember, it's inherently bleak, but it pokes fun. At its core, Death to 2020 parodies how the news made everyone behave selfishly at times in 2020 and/or lose sight of the truth. For example, a woman develops multiple personalities to keep herself company during the pandemic. A political spokesperson denies statements that she made just seconds before, a historian mistakenly believes that Game of Thrones is based on real events, a white social media influencer takes advantage of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, a tech mogul is so inspired by a climate change speech that he decides to permanently live in a survival bunker and wait for the apocalypse, and one self-described regular soccer mom who gets her news from YouTube videos and Facebook thinks the vaccine is a fabrication by Bill Gates to exact mind control on the population, who also revels herself to be a white supremacist.
