Today I went to pick up my usual Tuesday tuna poke bowl @gabrielscafe and it was delicious and nutritious! Thank you for making good food easy While I was there, I had the pleasure of running into an older fellow (wearing an elf hat today) that I had met in the Diana Krall plaza a decade ago when he had helped me with set up for Nanaimo’s live viewing site during the 2010 winter Olympics. I don’t think he ever understood how much his humanity impacted me. He would just com...e down and lend a hand if I needed it. We would chat and keep each other company. He has since had a stroke and I am not sure if he remembers our interactions - but I sure remember his generous spirit. Today he was at Gabriel’s and I was able to pick up some of these awesome tokens Gabriel’s has created to support and nourish our community. He’s the one often outside the conference centre playing a flute, for us to enjoy. Happy to have been able to thank him today for the music and energy he brings to Commercial Street through some nutritious meal tokens. ZEN Crew, it is now time for us all to spread some love to bring some brightness and warmth to these colder and wetter days when spirits may need a little boost. Our goal at Zen Revolution is to provide the safest environment possible to keep us all exercising through these dark times.
