Game Day 11 - KC Squires v Southside Lions (SSAC) 2nd game of a back to back to back. Boys didn’t seem to have a lot of jump to their game in the early goings of the 1st, Z sent Miller on an early break away, with Cole beating the goalie with a dandy move but failed to capitalized, missing the open cage. Lots of missed plays at KC’s blue line setting up the Lions for some grade A chances in which Teryn Glew turned away at a franetic pace. 1st period ending in a scoreless t...ie. 2nd frame both teams started out with a bit more jump, #10 on Lions smokin Dochuck from behind with no call on the play, Doch, visibly upset slamming his stick to the boards, taking acception to the play tracked #10 and just blew him up with a crushing hit, and in doing so, took a 2 min minor for interference, horrible call stripes! Buddy had the puck. I digress, squires killed off the PP, and once Doch step on the ice he lined up another suspecting Southside Lion at the blue line, unfortunately my man sidestep the hit with a shifty move and went in on Glew 1v1 tucking away Southsides, and the games 1st goal. Southside took the play for the remaining of the period, but KC came out of the period just down 1 goal, Teryn, was peppered with shots that period but held the boys in. 3rd period, Squires came out with some jump to there game, and pushed Southside on their heels, and finally Zane Saab made a cute pass to Miller in the neutral zone in which Cole took the D wide on a net drive and released a quick snapper to the low blocker side to tie up he contest. Final score 1-1, Z-man and Matteo Bruni Bossio received offensive and defensive players of the game chosen by the peers, great job boys, next game, this afternoon 530pm start Sherwood Park Arena v Sherwood Park Flyers, for the 3 RD and final game of the weekend, ATTACK! Game Day KC Squires Bantam AAA vs Lloydminster Bobcats. The boys dropped a 3-1 decision with the Bobcats poppin an empty netter in a tight, hard hitting, fast game this afternoon, no puck luck today boys, but both goalies stood on their heads to keep the game close. Quick turn around, the boys are playing back to back this weekend, taking on the Sherwood Park Flyers in their barn 530pm

KC Squires back at it again, long off season, with training and rehab. Z, the 6 returning Squires and some newly added talent have gone 4 and 0, battling in preseason tournament at Terwillegar Rec Centre this past week, with one more game Sunday morning puck drop 8am , cmon, 530am wake up, be at the rink at 630am, Let’s Go!!!
