Just a reminder that all current C5 Members should have received an email regarding the BC 5 Pin election. Don’t forget to check your email inbox and place your vote for president of our association. It is a very simple process and only takes a minute of your time. If you have not received an email please email [email protected] and we will make sure your email is correct and forward your voting email.

The nomination period for President has passed and the following people have been nominated for BC 5 Pin Bowlers Association President Kelly Gorsek - Allowed n...ame to stand for re-election Larry Johnson - Declined to let his name stand for election Barrie Wright - Accepted the nomination and will let his name stand for election. Election will take place by email between July 15 and July 30, 2020. The instructions to vote will be sent to all members via email shortly. If any members have recently changed their email or didn’t provide us one you can send your email address to us at [email protected] Note: Anybody that is a member of the Master Bowlers Association of BC is also eligible to vote.

Each year at the awards banquet, we normally do a call for nominations for the Executive Board of Directors positions. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the Board of Directors made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 BC Open Championships in accordance with the BC Health Orders. Due to the cancellation, we will be reaching out to the members requesting nominations. All... current BC 5 Pin Bowlers Association members are invited to allow their name to stand for election as an Executive Director for our Association. Directors with one year remaining on their two-year term are: Matt Eisenhauer Vice President Jason Kennedy - Treasurer Directors whose term is completed are: Kelly Gorsek - President This year, the members will be electing the position of President for a two-year term. Kelly Goresk is allowing her name to stand for re-election for the position of President. Although we were still hoping to host a provincial event, after many discussions by the BC 5 Pin Executive and a meeting with the Zone Directors Tuesday night, we have decided to cancel the 2020 BC Open Provincials. This was not an easy decision but we feel the best one for the safety of the bowlers, proprietors/staff and spectators. Canadian 5 Pin had already cancelled the Nationals earlier this month. The 2021 BC Open will be hosted by Zone 3 Fraser Valley South again next year.

We had another great turnout for the Zone 8 BC Open Trials this weekend. Congratulations and good luck to those that will be moving on to the Provincials in Surrey representing BC North....
