Here are the photos from the second of two balconies we completed last week that were previously covered with Duradek. After removing the covering we found pretty solid wood and only needed to replace a small section. Hand sanded the entire surface to remove the old glue , applied a waterproof clear membrane and then our Stonehenge flake on a grey base coat. Another beauty maintenance free balcony! We started this second floor balcony yesterday by removing the existing Duradek covering , replacing 1 sheet of plywood and hand sanding all of the old glue off. Then added new facia and a clear coat of our weather membrane. Today’s plan is to finish up with broadcasting Stonehenge flake into grey base and topcoat.
