This discussion presents points of view of a victim, service providers, a physician, a male treatment provider and an RCMP member. Watch it - it is very interesting and informative about the issue of domestic violence which affects many women in our community.

November 25 is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women "Through the Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaign, Zonta clubs around the world are uniting to raise their voices to bring awareness to this issue and advocate on behalf of gender-based violence survivors."... December 10 is Human Rights Day Please stand up and Say No to Violence Against Women!

These are challenging times for service clubs like the Zonta Club of Nanaimo. Growing the membership, fundraising to support our commitments to the community and having a presence in the community are things our members are discussing . But we remain a committed group of women determined to continue to support our mission even in small ways. For folks out there who are checking out our Face Book page - we thank you for your interest and hope you will continue to follow us.
