Some finished shots of the 16’x9’ built-in library, for a nice couple in Greely. A few ideas had been contemplated as to how we were going to approach some of the details to tie into the space, but I’d like to believe some level of an aesthetically pleasing result was the outcome. A few simple set backs from the face frame vertical members, in relation to the top of the base cabinets, back to the inset shelf depth turned out well. Playing with some similar shapes for the arc...hes and archway worked out relatively well, and the chamfer stops being a later decision to enhance the intersecting points of the face frame. A very thoughtful and lovely anniversary gift it was. Happy to be apart of the project, and certainly learned a few things from it and have ideas forming for future built ins. Some ‘valance’ lighting on the top course of shelves, that are ran from the right side of the unit with a hidden door to access the receptacle outlet. @ Greely Ont See more

Excited to share the completion of the modern-traditional kitchen installation, in this late 1800’s home. In the process the Tutor style framing with brick infill was uncovered, and stood to be a very cool feature of the past, and is well displayed with no upper cabinetry on the sink wall. Hand hewn structural members are exposed, as well the old pine floors. Working with the clients was a very cool experience, and a pleasure to be apart of, as they have very keen eyes for t...raditional aesthetics. The original Victorian casing and Rosette’s were restored and installed with the original cut nails, as an important part of the project. The homeowners did a fantastic job restoring the old farm sink, and floors, not to mention their efforts behind the scenes! Solid Maple doors, dovetailed drawers and cabinetry mouldings, complimented by solid Brass pulls and latches, with a matching faucet and shelf brackets to go with them. Hand tools are very present in my work, and it was important for proper storage and transportation of them. I made this tool box after a master craftsman’s that conveniently is the length of a hand saw, and the sides are the width of a hand plane. My chisels and other tools fit nicely as well. A fun project to display the attention to detail and enjoyment of working with wood. Air dried Walnut, Curly Maple, and Juniper wood. Traditional joinery only, with hand cut dovetails - no fasteners.
