Our first project of 2021 is in the bag, and boy was it a doozy! Our first (and hopefully not last!) project in #Ontario consisted of black/black triple-pane #Aluprof MB-70HI tilt and turn windows, PSK tilt and slide door system, and MB-77HS lift and slide system from @ms_wiecej_niz_okna. The monster 17’ x 9’ triple-pane lift and slide patio door required on-site assembly and the the massive 17’ x 11’8/5’5 rake window required some heavy machinery, but we were always up fo...r the challenge In the end, we finished two days ahead of schedule and have some very happy clients. | E N E R G Y E F F I C I E N C Y | With last night’s snowfall, our building complex’s snow removal crew went to work! Unfortunately they blew some snow onto our storefront windows and entrance door, so we decided to bust out the thermal imagine camera and do a little test. The snow melted from our storefront windows (they are the original ones from when the building was built) but remained on our entrance door which we replaced shortly after moving into this space. ... Despite our front door only being double-pane, it still performs well! 17C internal glass temp and -13C external glass temp, compared to 10C internal glass temp and -6C external glass temp for our storefront windows. That’s a 30 difference on the door and only a 16 difference on the local windows! Think of how much heat is being lost through these old storefront windows. Luckily our new MS wicej ni OKNA storefront windows are on their way! Keep the heat in and the cold out!
