Bridgewater Off-Leash Dog Park: SOUTH SHORE VET DOG ZONE

Staff have advised that the main gate at the dog park is unlocked and folks can use it with their canine companions. Please still take care to abide by social distancing rules and enjoy!

For those asking, the dog park has not reopened yet staff still have to do standard spring maintenance there and the grounds need to dry out a bit. We’re hoping to have more info about when it will open next week. Even when the dog park does reopen, social distancing rules will still apply, so please be mindful of that.... Thank you!

DOG PARK CLOSURE Unfortunately, we have just learned that, per the Province of Nova Scotia, we are required to close the South Shore Vet Dog Zone dog park to the public, effective today until further notice. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available -- and stay safe out there!

REMINDER -- CHILDREN AND THE DOG PARK We've had some concerns expressed recently about young children going inside the fenced-in area at the South Shore Vet Dog Zone dog park, sometimes without supervision. We would like to take a moment to remind folks (especially parents) that our posted rules clearly state that it is NOT recommend that children under the age of 6 enter the fenced-in areas at the dog park AND that children up to 13, if inside the fenced area, should be supe...rvised at all times. We ask dog park users to respect our rules for the safety of all our dog park users, old and young, canine and human. Thanks you and we invite you to share this message.

Hearing that Town parks and outdoor facilities have officially reopened today. There may be still some branches and tree debris on the grounds, so please exercise caution.
