Meet Marisa Massari, ATP Services Specialist, for Civil Aviation at #CAEmontreal. She has taken the role as liaising between Bombardier and all teams within the ATP as it pertains to updates to aircraft programs. When anybody needs anything pertaining to the ATP, courseware support or eLearning, they call Marissa. This approach eased the concerns of our employees as they adjusted to working remotely. CAE donates CAD $50,000 to support relief efforts to the Lebanese Red Cross through the Canadian Red Cross Over the past few days, the world has witnessed the devastation caused by a powerful explosion in Beirut, Lebanon. Many members of the CAE team have strong links to Lebanon, and family members who have been affected by this tragedy. Our thoughts and best wishes go to everyone who has been affected by this tragedy, in Beirut and beyond.

"My work with youth is very stimulating and rewarding because they are always in discovery mode and help me see things differently and question myself. In my job, that encourages me to think more deeply and better assess the impact of the decisions we make on the components of a simulator. The first time I got on a plane, I was lucky enough to see the cockpit. I was very impressed to see how a plane flies, and it immediately caught my interest. After that, we immigrated to Ca...nada and to Montreal, where the aeronautics industry is very developed and where I had the opportunity to pursue a career in this field. I really appreciated the opportunities I was given, and I want to give the same opportunities to the next generation of young people. The work I do at CAE has a direct influence on my volunteer work. I am currently leading an activity called Introduction to Aerospace and Aeronautics and, as part of this activity, I introduce young people to the technological aspects, such as flying a remote-controlled aircraft, carrying out flight missions in a simulator and programming. These are all activities in which CAE specializes." - Jason Tam, Flight Systems Specialist at CAE Jason volunteers 338 Junior Wildcats Air Cadet Squadron Brossard Optimist where he gave more than 1000 hours introducing young adults to aviation and aerospace and guiding them into slowly becoming responsible. Mon travail de bénévolat avec les jeunes des cadets est très stimulant et valorisant parce quils sont toujours en mode découverte et ils me permettent de voir les choses autrement et de me remettre en question. Dans le cadre de mon travail, ça mincite à pousser mes réflexions plus loin et à mieux mesurer lincidence des décisions que lon prend sur les composantes dun simulateur. La première fois que jai pris lavion, jai eu la chance daller dans le poste de pilotage.... Jai été très ému de voir comme un avion vole et ça ma tout de suite intéressé. On a ensuite immigré au Canada et à Montréal où le milieu aéronautique est très développé et où jai eu loccasion de poursuivre une carrière dans ce domaine. Jai beaucoup apprécié les opportunités qui mont été offertes et je veux redonner les mêmes opportunités aux jeunes de la génération suivante. Le travail que je fais à CAE a un une influence directe sur mon bénévolat. Janime présentement une activité qui se nomme introduction à laérospatiale et à laéronautique et dans le cadre de cette activité, jinitie les jeunes aux aspects technologiques comme faire voler un avion téléguidé, la réalisation de missions de vol dans un simulateur et la programmation. Ce sont toutes des activités dans lesquelles CAE se spécialise. - Jason Tam, Spécialiste des systèmes de vol à CAE Jason est bénévole au 338e Escadron des Cadets de lair Junior Wildcats Brossard Optimist et il y a fait plus de 1000 h de bénévolats à donner des cours dintroduction à laéronautique et laérospatiale, en plus daccompagner les adultes de demain dans la prise de responsabilité.
