Deep River Massage 30.12.2020

My son woke up yesterday with a scratchy throat, runny nose and sneezing. He is not allowed to go to school and has a covid test scheduled for Friday. Myself and the rest of the family remain symptom free. All online booking has been turned off until he gets the all clear. Thank you for your understanding.

I have had a lot of questions about reopening. Deep River massage has been seeing emergency cases for the last couple of weeks. I have been working towards a soft opening and to servicing all my valued clients. I am working hard to maintain standards and directives set by our governing bodies. The following information is to give you an idea of what those are. The Directive encourages healthcare providers to limit the number of in-person visits for the safety of healthcare pr...oviders and their patients. Prioritize clients with essential care needs while gradually resuming practice. Massage Therapy treatment is considered essential when the client’s overall health or function would considerably decline if treatment were not provided (i.e. lead to hospitalization or other serious health consequences). RMTs are now permitted to gradually restart Massage Therapy services. Clients must pass Covid19 screening. If the answer is yes to any of the following questions the client does not pass: Having travelled outside of Ontario in the last 14 days Having tested positive for COVID 19 or had close contact with someone with confirmed case. Any of the following symptoms: Fever Worsening chronic cough New onset cough Shortness of breath Sore throat Difficulty swallowing Decreased sense of smell or taste Chills Headaches Unexplained fatigue/malaise/muscle aches Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea/abdominal pain Pink eye (conjunctivitis Runny nose/nasal congestion without other known cause. All clients must wear a mask upon entering the clinic and for the full duration of their visit. Hand washing protocols are also in place. Deep river Massage has taken extra time between appointments to do all cleaning and documentation. I also must wear a mask in the clinic space as a measure to protect my clients. You will see some changes in the space as all surfaces must be wiped down after each treatment. Online booking is currently shut off as I must ensure all protocol is followed before booking any clients. I appreciate your understanding and hope to have appointment available online shortly.

May 28, 2020, Good Day to everyone, Re: Massage Therapy At this time some of you may have already been made aware of the Minister of Health stating that Health ...Care Professionals are allowed to open up business again. This is exciting news, but it was also misrepresented poorly by the media outlets. Massage Therapy is Governed by the CMTO, and as such they have released their updated mandate for our therapists to follow. It that states; Massage Therapists can gradually restart practice, prioritizing essential care needs, at this time. There is guidance to what this means which we must follow to ensure the safety of our Clinicians, staff, visitors, and all patients, during this time. With that; we have some changes that will be coming into effect over the next while, to which we will update you with when we can. Some items will be: -Your therapist will be required to wear a surgical mask during all treatments and interactions with you. It is also highly recommended that all clients bring, and wear, a mask in the clinic as well (can be cloth or surgical, as long as it fully covers the mouth and nose). We have decided to make this mandatory as we take keeping all our patients as safe as possible very seriously. -Patients will be asked to wait in their car for their confirmed appointment. They will be directed in when the therapist is ready. They will be ushered directly into their treatment space. -We will not accept walk-ins at this time. -There will be additional screening necessary for each appointment to ensure the safety of anyone that enters the clinic space. We have to consider protecting the most at-risk individuals who entrust us with their care As of today, we do not have a finalized opening date, but will inform you when there is one. We are aware some places are taking patients starting as early as Monday. To us, we cannot, in good consciousness confirm an opening date on such late notice by the CMTO. It is our number one priority to safe-guard our patients with the highest of care. We will not settle for less than being at our best, and have everything required in place. we owe that to you above everything else. Sincerely, Your Massage Therapy team PS: Please, if you have questions, correspond by email, and not by phone. Thank you in advance.

Dear clients. As of last evening the College of massage therapist of Ontario has given the go ahead for "soft openning" for massage. There is a course that needs completing before this can happen and they are having trouble with their system. Secondly we will require PPE and our clients masks. Thirdly with a soft opening we are only to be doing necessary massage treatments. I will be resetting online booking this weekend and will be offering only half hours initially to those in need as we adjust to our new environment. Stay well Tammy.
