Professional athletes live ups and downs throughout their careers. Their ability to overcome these obstacles is really what sets them apart from others! @linseycorbin ‘s return-to-racing didn’t go as well as she would have wanted. Despite being frustrated and disappointed, she remained focused on her next goal. Never giving up is part of Garneau’s DNA. Seeing our athletes with their heads up during difficult times makes us very proud!... Welcome back to racing Linsey! Great things are coming your way! #garneau #nevergiveup #ironman #triathlon

LA 84 jersey developed by Louis for the 84 Olympics was the first of many highly ventilated Garneau products that later served Tour de France riders facing intense heat waves, or helped triathlete Lionel Sanders secure an Ironman World Championship podium in the Hawaiian lava fields. Nowadays, Louis Garneau still rides in the heat of Florida every year, while others head for the rollers in their own basement, preparing for next season. Whether it’s for Florida or the pain cave, that jersey-building philosophy from over 35 years ago is still accurate. This is why Garneau brings the LA 84 jersey back into the custom collection for 2021. For both extreme heat days and those hardcore virtual bike races, you can now sport you own team’s colors in any extreme heat environment. #garneaucustom

Happy holidays! You can still show love whether distanced or close, virtually or in person. Let’s take the time to appreciate each other this holiday season. There’s a light at the end of this tunnel. Stay safe and stay strong because we are nearing the finish line. We can do it. -Lea Davison #garneaucustom

Summer in Southern California can be unbearable. Intense heat combined to the region’s proximity to the ocean and high mountains makes it for a regular, extreme heat forecast. The summer of 1984 was no different, as Los Angeles was about to host the Olympics Games with a smog alert threatening the event. Back in Quebec, Canada, 25 years old cyclist Louis Garneau wasn’t going to let a heat wave get in his way. We had those jerseys made of wool, which were a nightmare during ...summer, even in Canada! My wife has a passion for clothing creation during her spare time, so I asked her to help me to design and produce a Canadian team jersey specific for the Olympic race, which was to take place at the end of July in LA. Eventually, the Los Angeles smog cleared and the whole Canadian cycling team wore Louis’s special jersey for the Olympic race, with Ontario’s Steve Bauer claiming the silver medal in this grueling event. Henceforth was born the LA 84 jersey. See more

As a way to lighten up the 2020 holidays, Garneau and some of our best ambassadors sport on their ugly sweater jerseys to wish you a Happy Holiday season. The Holiday parties might be cancelled this year but doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. Throw yours on the next Zwift ride and get in the spirit! #garneaucustom

As our US friends in pause these days, we are hitting "pause" mid fat bike as well. A pause to warm up a bit, refill the energy and rejuvenate.

"At a certain point in this weird pandemic season, I decided that really my best way forward was just to commit to training as if I knew for sure that I would be racing. The whole year really has been about learning how to let go of what I can't control and focus on doing the best at what I can. I've flip flopping between thinking I would be racing to thinking it wasn't going to happen basically all year, but made the choice to keep on pushing forward, progressing, and trying to get better knowing that either I'd be able to line up in Europe ready to be successful or, if there wasn't racing, I'd be setting myself for bigger and better things the following season."- Michael van den Ham, Canadian cyclocross racer, 3 times Canadian National Champion. It’s easy to get overwhelmed right now. When my mind starts getting away from me...will the 2021 Olympics happen? Will it be safe to travel and compete? How do I prepare best under these limiting circumstances? I bring it back to the present. What can I do today to get me to my goals? What action can I take to make me better? Take a deep breath and bring it back to today, right now...and get it. A little shift in perspective goes a long way. -Lea Davison, 2-time Olympian athlete on a Pursuit of Hapiness Lea Davison

Like many of us, Lea Davison’s 2020 has been synonymous to heartbreak, interrupted plans, and uncertainty. So, during the month of October, Lea embarked on a Pursuit of Happiness. Some days this meant candy fueled bike rides on new dirt roads, rides to the shop, or leaving it all out there on a rigorous training ride. Other days, when the world weighs a little heavier, the simple victory was just getting out the door, getting on her bike, and moving through it. What is your Pursuit of Happiness? #garneaucustom #donutride #LeasPursuitofHappiness

At Garneau we connect every lunch and ride together. From rollers to Zwift to fatbike in the winter, some of us embrace the pavement early March in snow because we can’t wait to go outside, while others prefer to ride in Louis trails just a few minutes from the office. This time of year is one of our favorites! Ripping around on our local gravel roads is just awesome. A company that plays together, stays together! Alex Cormier
