An update from Josh himself: "Thankful for continued improvement. Small gains but looking back 4 weeks God has brought me a long way. I am fairly independent with my walker so that is nice, though I have lots of hands able to help if needed. Continuing to pray the swelling decreases and I am content and thankful for each step in this process God is leading me on."

Our next need is a kitchen faucet.

Tuesday, September 22... Today we have a praise item and a request for continued prayer. Praise the Lord that Pastor Josh was released from the hospital today; so he is now home. However, he will still be getting regular doses of medication because there is still swelling on his brain that is preventing the testing necessary to determine the next course of action. Please pray that the swelling goes down and that further tests can be done! Thank you for your prayers for Josh.

Hampton Bible Camp is in need of a 24"-30" stove. Age is not important; it just needs to work!

I was blessed to visit with Josh Cameron in hospital this week. There are some small improvements in his eyesight. He talked about a book he is reading, "The Discipline of Spiritual Discernment", by Tim Challies. He was also excited to have been able to read halfway through the gospel of Mark. His hearing is returning and he was able to hear me through my mask. When asked what I can do for him, his immediate response was to pray. So I would ask you to continue to pray for the Lord's healing, and that the doctors would be able to do the tests that they need to do and find out the source of the problem.

We are very excited to see our building expansion come close to completion. All that remains are new entrance steps and an accessibility ramp. God is good!

Pastor Barry was in visiting Josh and here is an update on how he is. He seems to be getting stronger each day. His balance needs to improve but his eye sight is better and his hearing is better. Continue to pray for the swelling to go down and the roar in his head to reduce. Just talked to Andrea about their meeting with the Dr. He says that there is definately a spot on his brain stem. MS, infection or growth. They need the swelling to go down to do a spinal tap to find out. The preasure from the swelling makes it dangerous and so because he is improving they will wait but hopefully soon enough to find out what is wrong.

I was able to visit Josh in hospital today. He remains unable to feel, see properly, and is deaf. He is not in any pain. He was quite skilled at reading lips. He was very sorry he wasn't able to finish his Bible teaching at camp last week. He values your prayers and remains incredibly positive and full of faith that God is in control of this situation. He expressed thankfulness and contentment despite his circumstances. Pray for a miracle that the brain swelling goes down asap so doctors will be able to perform much needed tests.

*Update on Josh* "Thank you for all your prayers! My Mom, Dad, brother and sister were all able to see him over the weekend. As of last night Josh's symptoms were not improving. He still is experiencing loss of hearing, partial loss of vision in his eyes, his sense of touch is gone and his mobility is limited due to swelling in his brain. His nurses describe him as " tough as nails" as he is persevering to remain as independent as he possibly can with the facilities he ha...s. Josh needs a miracle! His brain is too swollen to handle a spinal tap that the Doctors and Specialists need to perform to diagnose a swelling on his brain stem. Please pray that the swelling will go down! Josh also wanted us to pray that he retains his ability to swallow and breathe on his own. He is in God's hands which is the safest place for him to be and he is receiving good care from his nurses and Doctors. It was a gift to be able to see him, hug him ,and spend time with him this weekend. He has become an amazing lip reader as a result of his deafness and was full of conversation and jokes. Please pray for Andrea and their boys. Andrea hasn't been able to visit Josh since he was admitted due to a cold and quick healing for her would be a gift for both of them . Thank you to everyone who have surrounded our family with prayers, support and physical help for Josh, Andrea and their family. To see God's love pouring through the hands and feet of people who love and care is a beautiful thing. Yesterday at their place was busy as our family processed 38 chickens that Josh had raised for meat and were ready for butchering. ( Good ole family times!!) A crew of wonderful men were there cutting and splitting Josh's winter firewood , and hay was being delivered to Josh's barn to feed his cows this winter. All things that were weighing heavily on his mind in hospital and were on his to do list for his vacation time last week and this. God is so good and we are trusting in him through this dark time. He is in control and we know he can work miracles !!" See more

Today's update on Josh Cameron. Please continue to pray. Update from Josh's Dad August 31 "Josh doesn't notice any changes, staying the same. Is very concerned that he isn't able to connect with people. ... Swelling has to go down before they can do the tests they want , to rule out some possibilities of what might be causing Josh's issues. When the swelling goes down, it may also restore the senses he has lost. Today they helped him walk with someone on each arm. Still a lot of questions and unknowns." See more

Please pray for pastor Josh Cameron, our Bible teacher from this past week at camp. The following is an update from his parents this morning. Good morning , I was able to visit Josh twice yesterday. He is in ICU now and not doing good. The Dr's don't know what is causing his inability to hear, see right, or control his muscles, so he can't walk or stand, etc. They did an MRI and a cat-scan yesterday. They think he may have a swelling on his brain stem which is in a difficult ...spot. It may be caused by a swelling due to infection, a tumor, or MS. This could be causing the adverse effects on his body. There are a lot of unanswered questions at this time, and nothing definite so the Dr's are trying to make educated guesses on treatment types. Now he is on antibiotics and steroids, with little improvement. Our trust and confidence has to be in the Lord Jesus Christ, our Good Shepherd, our Creator (John 1), etc., etc., not in man.
