A special guest touched down yesterday at our Kelowna International Airport - YLW facility. A Royal Canadian Air Force CC-177 Globemaster arrived carrying three CH-146 Griffon helicopters to conduct training missions in the #Okanagan over the coming weeks. Often referred to as the workhorse of the #RCAF, this massive aircraft is capable of transporting up to 100 people and can transport military personnel and heavy equipment wherever in the world it is needed. #kfaero #aviationlovers

#TBT: In 2014, KF completed the world's first B737-300 Class F Combi aircraft. The aircraft can accommodate 3 cargo pallets and 80 passengers, and continues to be operated by our friends at Canadian North airlines, servicing the Canadian Arctic. The project is a testament to KF's top notch aerospace engineering and structural modification capabilities!

#ThrowbackThursday: On September 26, 2009 the mighty Antonov AN-124 arrived at the Kelowna International Airport - YLW to deliver Mi17 helicopters for an avionics upgrade by Kelowna Flightcraft. A crowd of nearly 5,000 came to watch its arrival. It remains the largest aircraft to have landed at #YLWKelowna, despite visits from the B747SP, the DC-10 and the CC-177 Globemaster! #KFAero50
