The Meeting Lake Regional Park Spring Newsletter is available at https://meetinglakeregionalpark.ca/updates/
Meeting Lake regional Park wanted to give everyone a heads up that the water is starting to build up inside the berm from the snow melting. Everyone may want to take the time to look at the current situation on their lot and start to prepare for the spring melt. If you were pumping water last year you will most likely need to be pumping water again very soon. Your help with getting pumps set up and power turned on to run them is greatly appreciate it.
Shortly after we sent out the email blast about the fire in the garbage bin, a cabin owner quickly contacted a staff member to take responsibility. They believed the ashes had cooled enough that they would be safe to put into the dumpster. They apologies and asked that the people who put out the fire be thanksed. We would like to thank them for coming forward.
This is a reminder not to put hot coals into the garbage bins at the park The bins are for household use only. On Saturday February 27th there were flames coming out of the bin. The cost of the repairs on the bin will come out of park funds.
