One of a hundred live edge Walnut #charcuterieboards out for delivery this week to a local home builder for housewarming gifts.

Big, backbreaking (almost) walnut live edge on the lathe today. A full 19.5" tip to tip. This one was so deep I needed to thin it out some more after coring.

Slow spin on a small Maple burl. Lots of character in this one. And it was spinning alot faster a few secons ago. ;-)

And to finish off the day I got around to coring a 17" diameter Ash burl. This one was sitting around for a while and very dry. A little more challenging on the coring system to say the least...

So the big Beech burl yielded two sizable chunks (14" and 15") to core into nested sets of bowls. Here they are in the snow outside my workshop.

A viking funeral for a well used charcuterie board. This ones last supper was a cashew/ginger pasta dish that's a staple of our family camping trips. Or maybe it was the s'mores a little later on. It had served us well, but I think it was time to pull a fresh one out of the inventory!
