Become a Coldest Night Of the Year SPONSOR: https://cnoy.org/sponsors CNOY is less than two weeks away (the Event / Walk is February 20th), but people are still registering - the more, the merrier. There is plenty of time to get rolling... If you represented a corporation / business, CNOY is also a great opportunity for advertising / sponsorship. Those who participate in The Walk are some of the most incredible people in our community and Sponsorships are made visible on our Event website which attracts more than 80,000 local views each year and additional exposure for sponsors comes through our website, newsletters and 6000 strong facebook page. Plus, you are simply supporting a great cause.
Hello Snowy Community, This is Chris. Chris had holes in his boots and came to Open Arms for help. First he had to borrow sneakers to walk to us. Then he searched at our Oats Thrift Store yet nothing in his size was available. He came back to let us know he couldn’t find his size and on his birthday was gifted with brand new boots. We had a donation that was just what he needed. Open Arms is here for our Community. Your support means we can answer the needs of those who are homeless, hungry and hurting. Please consider supporting Coldest Night of the Year so we can have more needs met. Thank you!
There is room for you too! More than 180 Walkers registered so far and more than 500 donors - THAT IS A LOT OF CARING! Don't Miss Out on CNOY2021 https://cnoy.org/location/annapolisvalley
OATS Thrift Store is now open 10am-3pm Tuesday - Friday with lots of new goodies!
WHAT A YEAR... Our team (and a number of community volunteers) responded and adapted quickly to meet the challenges of 2020 with the development of a rural food delivery program for many of our most vulnerable residents until government supports and a level of normalization settled in. Over a period of several months, the ‘FOODTASTIC’ (An Open Arms / Feed My Sheep partnership) program delivered up to 750 boxes each week that included prepared meals, produce and non-perishable...s. While a scaled back program is ongoing, we discovered an incredible capacity amongst our team and broader community to attend to the most vulnerable among us. Covid related restrictions posed even more obstacles for people in crisis or otherwise insecurely housed, We have thankfully been able to re-launch year round INN FROM THE COLD emergency shelter, hosting and supporting more than twenty male, female and youth in becoming housed and reestablished just since November. This is a significant accomplishment amidst a regional and Provincial housing crisis. All of this is made possible because of a terrifically kind community that does not hesitate to give of both their time and money. We look forward to continued partnerships and even more exciting and impactful work throughout this year and beyond. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
