The most common location for syndactyly, or finger fusion, is between the third and fourth fingers. This 7 month old patient also had an extra finger (polydactyly) coming off her fifth finger. Here we’ve released the fusion to allow the fingers to grow and function independently, as well as removed the extra digit.
