One of our best friends GROW Project Guelph is putting on something really neat to get you outside this fall. The Sunflower Maze Days is here! The maze is now open at the GROW Community Garden! From Sept 21st to Oct 12th visit the 60ft maze of multicoloured sunflowers, a beautiful spot for that perfect fall picture. Tickets by donation can be found on Eventbrite, see here: tinyurl.com/y2yeuqxs All proceeds help the grow community garden with materials, projects that improve space and help us GROW more food!

Tomorrow would have marked the start of our 16th season. Unfortunately we must announce that we will be closed until further notice. Although this is disappointing, we hope that you all enjoy your summer and continue to stay safe and healthy. Thank you for your continued support of local businesses during these difficult times!

Last night brought a lot of joy to our family as we were able to share the night paddle experience with the community. Thanks to our paddlers, The Boathouse, our staff, family, friends, and everyone who brought their own boats to make this happen. This was an idea that began with casual evening paddles with friends and family. To see those personal evenings extended to an amazing group of people really blew us away. We can't wait to share this experience with more of you in the years to come. What an amazing way to celebrate 15 years. Here's to many more! - Greg, Lisa, Bill & the Speed River Paddling family

Almost time to reflect on the summer. This is our last full week of rentals. Starting Sept 2nd (yes we are open Labour Day) we will be changing to a weekend-only schedule. We are also looking forward to the night paddle this Friday!

We are celebrating the end of our 15th season by inviting you to join us in lighting up the river! Join us August 30th at 7pm for a guided paddle of the Speed/Eramosa river. The paddle will begin at dusk and as the sun goes down, the boats will light up for a magical evening on the water. We will be posting a link for tickets later this week, so stay tuned to reserve a boat! *Update* Sold out.

An absolute stunner from @sl.mariana is our winner this week! They found a quiet spot about halfway up the river next to the first of two train bridges that cross the Eramosa. A really beautiful and rustic spot for those that venture most of the way up the river. A huge thanks for sharing this moment with us @sl.mariana
