Why sports will always teach lessons about life Obstacles will always be there. But it doesn’t have to stop you. I could go on all day about the obstacles Zac has faced in his career. But he didn’t let it define him- He kept going. Just like all of this right now in this pandemic. KEEP F’N GOING!! Yes it’s hard. Yes it’s uncomfortable. Yes our future feels uncertain. But you must KEEP GOING and you will be pleasantly surprised by the outcome as long as you don’t quit. Got ...it? From the little town of Paris, Zac got to play on a line with the Sedins, played for multiple NHL teams and is now the Captian of the Cleveland Monsters- All after being told for years he couldn’t do it. but he KEPT GOING! Zac, we’re so proud of you and you deserve this. By the way, you also owe me $3412.00 for that time I met you in Chicago to watch you play the Blackhawks. You got in a fight 5 minutes into the game and spent half the game in the box. You ruined our whole weekend. Not cool man....You can pay in instalments if you need to. Also, as we were walking through a group of people at the hotel to get breakfast, a bunch of people outside the hotel were getting the players autographs. Not one person asked for my autograph. I was heartbroken. And Zac never once looked up from signing autographs to introduce me to the fans and recommend that they get my autograph too. He’s very selfish.

Hi everyone! Good news! We have been given an amazing opportunity to make some changes to our restaurant that we’ve always wanted to make since we opened. With the shut down we have decided to take advantage of the downtime and do it all now. ... Bad news: We won’t be able to cook for a few weeks until everything gets finished. When Covid hit in March we thought 2020 would be the worst year we ever had, but with your support we not only survived, we thrived. We can’t thank you enough for your support this summer and we look forward to seeing you for indoor dining and take out! ... Also our LOWER PATIO IS STILL OPEN and will remain open until it snows!

Hi all! Matt here. You may be wondering what a picture of dirty, sweaty goalie and baseball equipment has to do with Stillwaters and That Dam Restaurant Group. Well, the truth is- EVERYTHING! I caught myself staring at my 8 year old sons sports gear today and thinking about how lucky he is to follow his 2 passions (Goalie and his Baseball family with the Brantford Junior Red Sox) when I just explained to him that your support over the years pays for those things he lit up with a huge smile and said wow, can I thank them? It’s going to feel like summer for the next few days so both of our patios and both of our sister restaurant Capeesh’s patios will be rockin’ all weekend long!! That’s 4 patios overlooking the grand river in one building! We hope to see you this weekend for one last hurrah with patio season!

The rooftop patio opens back up today!! Patio season is back for a couple weeks and we couldn’t the more excited!

As the weather cools down we have been getting a lot of inquiries about when we are shutting down the rooftop patio. The answer is simply WE AREN’T! Both patios will remain open well into the fall this year! (as long as weather isn’t too bad) normally we would provide blankets etc. but this year we obviously can’t. But we encourage you to bundle up, bring a blanket and enjoy the AMAZING fall colours along the Grand River
