Yesterday we wrapped up our season of outdoor markets and want to take a moment to send a whole lot of love to all of you - our vendors, shoppers, and community. You showed up for us and all of the small businesses that participated in a real way amidst what has been a challenging time for everyone. If you've ever dreamed about walking or riding a bike down the middle of Yonge have the pandemic to thank for that or rather, the ActiveTO program it inspired! Tomorrow Yonge St. will be closed to vehicle traffic from Queen's Quay all the way up to Davenport - get out there and enjoy it Toronto!

We're thrilled to have The Regent Park Sewing Studio joining us at Ashbridge Estate this Sunday! The Regent Park Sewing Circle is a collective of women of all ages and cultural backgrounds who come together to create sewing projects. From threading a needle to intricate sewing techniques to operating a machine, the Studio allows participants to learn from one another. Starting with a request for sewing lessons at the Centre of Learning and Development (CL&D), two community le...aders brought in their personal sewing machines and started teaching other community members how to sew. With just two sewing machines in 2015, the Studio has grown to provide 10 new machines with a grant provided by Daniels Spectrum. Since the beginning, the Studio has relied on donated fabric. All funds from sold merchandise go back to sustaining the Sewing Studio and helping it become self-sufficient. We love this initiative so much and are happy to have them with us this Sunday from 10am - 5pm! Be sure to stop by their booth to say hello
