The weather did not disappoint! Just a week ago, we had green grass and mild spring-like weather. And this morning, there is snow on the ground. It must be CUP season. If I recall, I believe Michelle Bryson Taylor & Dianne Soper-Bryson by far had the worst and longest drive from Oshawa to Barrie the year of the ice storm. It is a weird kinda day today. By now, my OCD and anxiety level would be full tilt and my mind spinning trying to make sure nothing is forgotten and that... everything is perfect. The once packed basement of team jerseys, awards, banners, grab bags and other fun stuff would be at the centre. As a night owl, one of my favorite pre-CUP preparations is setting the stage for the morning of the CUP. To see the awe and excitement from the athletes is what I will miss this year. Our world as we knew it has changed. I am sadden for those, especially our seniors, that have been infected by this virus. I am saddened that we cannot be with our extended families.I am saddened that we cannot be there for our family that has passed on. I am sad! But I am also excited as we embark on a new way of living. Families are getting back to home cooked meals, board games, card games, crafting and so much more. Life has slowed down enabling us all to inner reflect on our own personal changes and growth. As we as humans heal, the world will heal too. In order for us to get back on the lanes and to live outside our home, we all must continue to do our civic duty. Continue to wash your hands, maintain your social distancing and please please stay home. When we do get together, it will be one memorable and energetic moment. We will be able to hug, high five and share the most amazing memories of the past year. Happy Easter. Stay Safe! Cheers Lee https://desktopapp.smilebox.com//4e4459354f4463334e44413d0
