Alberta School Councils' Association (ASCA) is conducting a survey to measure the pandemic pulse in the return to schooling with Covid-19 implications. All parents / guardians in Alberta with children in Kindergarten to Grade 12 are invited to participate in the survey. Your contributions are both essential and greatly appreciated! This week we received a huge blessing from the Knights of Columbus-Joe McKenna Council! Patrick Ries and Ron Pisoni stopped by to drop off a box full of warm winter jackets for our students in need. Thank you, Knights of Columbus!

Our school division utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages, straight to your mobile phone with important information and safety alerts. Parents and guardians should have received an automated opt-in text message on Tuesday, October 13. Today we want to take some time reflect on a few things we are thankful for this year... Our school staff for being flexible and innovative in their approaches to teaching and working with students. You amaze us everyday! Our custodial team for the hard work they put in to ensure that our schools are safe and clean everyday. ... Our parents for being patient and understanding as schools adapt and implement new school procedures and routines to keep everyone safe. Our students for being so respectful in following the new guidelines and continuing to learn with joy and optimism. Our priests for finding new ways to stay connected to our schools including live-streamed masses and liturgies. Our entire Medicine Hat Catholic family of staff, students, parents, and parishes that follow the example of love that Jesus has shown us. Happy Thanksgiving from our family, to yours. God bless!

It's easy to spend time worrying about the future, especially in the midst of uncertainty. But remind yourself over and over again that there are amazing possibilities ahead. All you have to do is the next right thing.

We need to create opportunities for meaningful conversations with kids, We had an incredible turnout to last night's virtual parent and caregiver information session. Thank you all who were in attendance! For those of you unable to attend, the recorded session will be provided to parents/caregivers in the coming days.
