The residents of Hudson Manor are excited to start a project that will create a bond with our Comfort of Living Sister Homes. We call it; The Sister Homes of the Traveling Canvas We are going to create a beautiful piece of art that will link all the homes together by including each resident to participate by drawing, choosing colour and painting on a canvas that will travel to each home. Comfort of Living owns 7 Retirement Homes. The residents at Hudson Manor created a f...rame by using their hand prints. We will be sending it to Maple City Retirement Residence in Chatham, where they will paint the Maple leaves. It will then be sent to Metcalfe Gardens in St. Thomas so each of their residents can paint hearts. The Waverley Mansion in London, will then receive the painting for their residents to paint butterflies. The canvas will then continue its journey to Hampton Court Retirement Lodge in Southampton where the residents will paint beautiful flowers. Next destination will be at Maplewood Manor in Seaforth, where they will participate by painting smiley faces. Tudhope Manor in Orillia, will add the final touches by painting the stars. Once all the residents of all the sister homes have put their mark on it, the Artwork will travel back to Hudson Manor in Tilbury where we will add a painted frame around it. Please remember to check our Facebook Page, as we will continue to post updates on the progress and also to see how our canvas is making out with it’s travels. We can’t wait to see the final results after each Comfort of Living resident has added their special touch. See more
