Modifying the holographic and excellent McAlister Audio MA-10B tube preamp, because I can: My trusty MA-10B was modified by by-passing its coupling caps with Duelund CAST Cu Paper in oil copper foil capacitors (https://www.partsconnexion.com/DUELUND-81947.html , expensive but the only film caps which sound like music to me and I have personally tried too many to count) and Goldpoint (http://www.goldpt.com/) volume attenuator and selector switch which improved clarity and dyna...mics over the original ALPS. The Volume attenuator replacement job was done by Trusty Joe Balint of "Sigma Electronic Services" here in Edmonton (Thanks, Joe!). These changes took what was an already a SOTA preamp to another level of transparency, dynamics and three dimensional sound.
