515 North Atlantic Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron 03.02.2021

As you are all aware, COVID-19 has provided all units with a new set of challenges which we are adapting to in order to offer safe training opportunities to all cadets. We are hoping to start training very soon, however, there will be no training tonight - October 6, 2020. As many of you are probably aware, after having been contacted by our administration department, we are moving ahead with the steps required to start the training year.... Over the next little while we will be working with the senior cadets to finalize a plan for our return. As a reminder, there will be a number of new protocols in place at the Paddon Building (Garrison St. John’s): - Prior to attending any cadet event, all personnel MUST complete the COVID-19 Awareness Course. - Attendance will be taken at the door for contact tracing. - ALL Cadets must be wearing a non-medical mask (NMM). - ALL personnel (cadets & staff) must complete the COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire, prior to attending every training event. If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of the questions, you must remain home. If you attend training and the answer is yes to any of the questions the Individual will be sent home immediately and told to follow up with their medical professional or 811, as appropriate. - Any concerns relating to COVID-19 must be brought to the attention of the COVID-19 Safety Officer right away. - All training will be restricted to the 1st floor. - Physical distancing must be maintained at all times. - Ample signage is posted around the building regarding other regulations (direction of travel, room capacity, etc. Please keep watching this page for additional updates and information and things are continually changing and information may vary from week to week (or one training event to the next). Stay safe!

Good Evening Everyone! After speaking with a few people we've realized that the Covid-19 course is a bit tricky to locate. WO2 Daly put this video together to show you how to create an account, how to complete the course, and explained what to do when you're done. The certificate that you get for completing the course can be sent to [email protected]. Since these courses need to be done before you can attend in-person training, we'd like to have them all submitted... by September 30th in hopes that we get the go-ahead to resume in-person training in October! Like WO2 Daly said, if anyone has any questions feel free to comment below or reach out to one of us individually and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thank you WO2 Daly for taking the time to put this video together! Cheers, OCdt Wheaton
