The first picture of 2021. That's it.

A couple years back I was up in Yellowknife, and my good friend lent me his truck while he was at camp. He loves his truck (as anyone loves their vehicle no matter what state it's in) and I knew being allowed to drive it was a privilege. But I also wanted to do something cool for him. I took his truck to a place I used to go with my friends to sit and chill IN the water at Pontoon Lake. I hadn't been in the water here since probably 2003, but I figured if my teenage Jeep cou...ld do it (sorry mom!) his new truck could do it. And I only did it because I know he loves his truck and I knew I could make it look super pretty.

One of the goals I had set for myself during the pre-work Covid Months was to create a new website. I managed to get it done, but I had forgone work on the wedding section of my site. I don't shoot a lot of weddings, about four or five a year. Due to this year, the four I had planned for have been rescheduled, and I shot one during mid-September. Although I don't call myself a "wedding photographer", I do shoot weddings. I finally got the wedding section up on my site tonight..., and I wanted to share some of the awesome images that I've been able to take due to the trust and fun that I have had with the couples I spend the most time with on their special days. https://aaronvonhagen.com/weddings

Hmm, last night's full moon seems a little less witchy tonight... Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm about to go for a walk. Seems like it's been ages since I've done the seawall, and one of my favourite times to walk around is at night this time of year. I'll keep it creepy with a true-crime podcast.

What a night! It's a Saturday night on Halloween with a full moon, the clocks go back an hour, and there's nowhere for anyone to go. I hope you all had a chance to take a look at the gorgeous moon that rose recently. I could have sworn I heard some cackling overhead when I was out shooting it, but I think it might have just been my mind playing tricks on me... Happy Halloween, everyone!
