Tick tock! The holidays are almost here. No matter your professional circumstances, try and connect with team members to celebrate the year's successes.
We are part of an industry that has been forever changed. From evolving processes and procedures to differing recruitment and screening practices - the HR and recruitment industry will never be the same.
We did the HR shuffle, did you? Did you find yourself throwing away any plans that you made for 2020? How are you going to adjust your 2021 plans?
Has your team been through it all? Does it feel like you are running a marathon uphill? Take a second to reflect on the last 6 months and identify the state that your team is in. If it has been torn apart, it might be time for some new strategies and morale boosters.
When we are caught in a moment, it is often hard for us to see what is happening around us. Has your team adapted, grown together and collaborated in new ways? Or has your team stayed stagnant and grown apart? Take a quick second to reflect.
How has your team and staff been affected by the global pandemic? What has transpired? Has your experience been positive or negative? There are three critical areas within a team that have been affected and mixed together. Team dynamics, employee performance and hiring practices...what have you noticed?
Nurture the relationships around you by connecting with them on a personal level. Ask simple questions like 'how are you?' and be sensitive to the stressors that exist in the workplace.

At the start of this pandemic my fiance and I were still working and our son was no longer in school.
