Yesterday marked the 100th anniversary of the burning of Acadia's Second College Hall. Alumni, staff, and students created this video in tribute to this building--constructed in 1879 after the destruction of First College Hall, also by fire on Dec 2! http://ow.ly/SnwE50CC6n0

Highlighting archived images of Acadia's women and men lost to war has become part of the annual Remembrance Day Service at Acadia University. This mostly-silent video spotlights World War One and features research and poetry. "A.C.A.D.I.A." (the 1912 version) was performed and recorded in 2015 by the Acadia Choir. The first sound you hear is the bell of Acadia's Manning Memorial Chapel ringing 100 times for 100 years on 11 November 2018.
