The AFCC was part of an exciting announcement on November 6, 2020 : new affordable housing opportunities throughout the City of Calgary were rolled out through the Housing Incentive Program and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's SEED Funding. The AFCC is proud to announce that about 10 one-bedroom units will be built for Indigenous Elders, incorporating a cutting-edge design that brings modern conveniences and Indigenous culture together. Our Elders deserve high-quality, safe and accessible housing, and this project will provide that to our most cherished and important community members. Stay tuned for more updates as this project moves ahead! http://globalnews.ca//calgary-new-affordable-housing-seto/

The Is kitsii gome, 7 Brothers Circle is a community-driven collective that works to meet the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of the First Nations, Metis and Inuit people living in Treaty 7 and historic Northwest Metis homeland who have been affected by the pandemic. As an organization, the AFCC was proud to move quickly to meet the needs of our community members alongside our partners. We’re excited to share that our story was selected by the Premier of Alberta as part of the Alberta Northern Lights Volunteer Recognition Program! This program provides ongoing recognition of incredible community volunteers throughout the province. https://www.alberta.ca/alberta-northern-lights-volunteer-re.
